New commercial plant manager in the Bosch plant in Hatvan

Hatvan – From January 2021 Dr. Arne Ziegenbein fills the position of commercial plant manager of Robert Bosch Elektronika Kft. in Hatvan. The German executive replaces the retiring Wolfgang Stein, who has been a member of management of the Bosch plant in Hatvan since January 2017. The new commercial plant manager, who had been working in leading positions at the company's locations in Germany and India in recent years, is no stranger to Hatvan, since he was responsible for the logistics, and controlling department of the site between 2009 and 2014.

Dr. Arne Ziegenbein has been working for Bosch for nearly 14 years. The professional is a certified electrical engineer, who graduated from the RWTH Aachen University, and later received a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Hagen, then a PhD from the ETH Zurich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology). He started his professional career in 2002 as a research associate and project manager at the Centre for Enterprises Sciences at ETH Zurich, then continued his career at Bosch in 2007. After two years in Stuttgart he came to Hungary, where he held management positions in logistics and controlling at the company’s Hatvan plant. From 2015, he continued his professional career in India, where he led Bosch’s Automotive Electronics plant in Bangalore. Subsequently, from 2017 to December 2020, he was Vice President Corporate Performance Controlling, Risk Management, Mergers and Acquisitions in the Bosch headquarter in Stuttgart.

“It is a great pleasure and honour for me to work here in Hatvan as the manager of the largest automotive electronics plant of Bosch”, emphasized Dr. Arne Ziegenbein upon his appointment. “My aim is to further develop our processes, organization and performance to strengthen the competitiveness of the plant. We will place great emphasis on the digitization of production and the supply chain in the future, which is essential to keep our factory in the cutting edge of the world”, he added.

Robert Bosch Elektronika Kft. was established in 1998 in Hatvan and the plant has become the largest manufacturing centre of the Automotive Electronics division of the Bosch Group in the world. In recent decades, hundreds of millions of vehicles have been equipped with different electronics from Hatvan worldwide. The Company’s strategic objective is to undertake an active role in the future of automated, accident-free and environmentally friendly driving through the continuous improvement of its employees’ expertise and its high-tech manufacturing solutions.
